My name is Rhiannon. I am the iWineo. Sparkling Rhiannon is my wine blog. I was raised in Wine Country, Hunter Valley. My grandparents came from South Australia to establish vineyards for various parties. How many generations of wine ? In my world, Wine is not something that we imbibe of an evening in posh glasses with fancy company. Wine is something that is in my heritage, in my blood (intravenously some nights). Wine means more to me than a relaxing vice or an accompaniment to food and friends. Wine has long been my passion, my life and formerly, my work. This blog is a new outlet for my passion. I am not an elitist wineo, but by no means do I lower my expectations of the product.
Wine is fun, and this is what I want to share. Knowledge is power, so watch and learn and join me for a glass or two.
Wine, my lifelong lover. Nonchalant, trustworthy, reliable. Cheekily dragged me to bed, and sometimes breakfast too. Joins me at milestone events, and ruined some. Catalyst to fun, song, love, tears. It matches with great food, sometimes its in the food and if its been a long day I skip the food.
Antioxidants, sulphides, histamines, tannins, acids, oak, how many serves of fruit? Robust, full-bodied, elitist, soft, mellow, simple, complex, fruity, rich.

Great to catch up with you and your cheeky mum at Willies day in the sun at Lambton on Saturday.
I have had a quick flick through you blog and you are doing the most important thing that can be done for the wine industry, making wine fun and unpretentious.
well done.
I’ll find some time and have a good read.
Back to the aisles and and aisles of Sav Blanc with refreshing Verdelho at the end, to bring some sanity back.

Hi Rhiannon
Coming to Hunter Valley from California, December 2011. Would love your input on Cellar Doors to visit on a two day trip.
Regards
Brad
Wow, ironically I’m heading to the USA and to Napa in December 2011! I would say look for the established names – Tyrells, McWilliams, Tullochs, Scarborough and maybe try and get on a Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Tour. Hunter Valley Gardens is beautiful albeit it will be very hot in December. Keep in mind The hunter is known for Senillon – young and old and this is a lean crisp fresh style that develops with age into something more rounded and honeyed. Sometimes a hard entry style. But we also grow verdelho and great Chardonnay. Shiraz is our forte although perhaps every few years. If you like golf there is plenty to go round and overall I hope you enjoy Australia’s premier wine region!
Hi
I am a third year student studying Food Marketing and Business Economics at Reading University (UK) and require participants to complete my online survey. The survey is looking at General consumers wine preferences and will take only 10 minutes to complete.
Ethical clearance has been granted for this survey and all answers will be in complete confidence and the information will be destroyed after the research has been completed.
It will be of a great assist if you could pass on the survey to people you think might want to answer it also.
